I bring empathy, knowledge and life experience to helping individuals deepen understanding of themselves, face challenging life transitions and endeavors, and build meaningful and successful relationships. I strive to create a safe, affirming, collaborative and compassionate space seeking understanding, healing and growth. I provide counseling through the lens of Neurodiversity, Polyvagal Theory and Internal Family Systems. I am an avid believer in counseling for everyone. I first went to counseling when I was in college and it was during that time that I realized the importance and impact it had in my own life. I believe in the connection between physical, mental, spiritual, and emotional health and investing in the connection between all four. My heart as a counselor is to create a safe and caring environment for my clients where they feel accepted and can begin healing. In creating that environment, I hope to build a relationship where my clients feel supported and that we collaborate in their healing journey. I believe that the experiences and relationships in childhood and adolescence have a profound impact on our lives as adults including our thoughts, emotions, values, identity, and worldview. As a Christian I believe in the inherent worth of each individual and believe that faith aids in healing. However I also understand and respect each individual's spiritual and faith identity and will honor where you are on your journey. I also recognize the pain that faith and religion can cause in an individual's life and have a desire to work with those struggling with the faith community.

Flowing With Growth Psychotherapy is a safe space that welcomes BIPOC clients of all sexual, gender, and intersecting identities. I specialize in working with individuals who may be struggling with performance, anxiety and panic, life and faith transitions, sexual and gender identity, disordered eating, medical issues, depression, and relationship concerns. I also work with clients struggling with ADHD or OCD. I have experience working with clients individually, as couples, and in families. My recent experience with athletes and as a professor of a course in performance psychology allows me to apply that knowledge when working with a diverse array of individuals; not only athletes, but also those working in occupations that demand high levels of performance.

People who never felt "just like everyone else" or dealt with a lot of negative self talk are those who I love supporting most. I am an art therapist, as well as a licensed professional counselor, and that means we have a lot of options in our tool box to find what works best for you. What is most important to me is making sure you feel heard, comfortable, and safe (and maybe even laugh once or twice)! I specialize in adolescents as well as young adults/college age clients as they continue to navigate "growing up". Sometimes sessions may be 100% talk therapy, sometimes 100% art/music interventions, and often some mix of both- it is totally up to what you are most comfortable with.

Therapy is a journey into yourself. It is choosing to step forward into growth rather than shy back into what is safe and comfortable. When we talk about our feelings, they become less overwhelming, less upsetting, and less scary. This process of self-discovery isn’t easy, but certainly worth it! My approach to counseling is that of being direct, honest, and straightforward. I work hard to balance that with care, compassion, and empathy. I will push you, but not past your limits. At times it may feel as if I am pushing you past your limits but that is because often times we aren’t able to see our true potential.
ATL Trauma Therapy
EMDR available for trauma processing and resolution, nature sessions available, in-person or virtual. I love working with individuals who need a compassionate space to explore childhood/relationship issues, shame, religious trauma, grief and loss and the challenges ofss being a human right now on this planet!! I offer free phone consults to see if I could be a good fit for what you need. Often with safe support our innate potential for healing kicks in.

Life can feel heavy, but you don’t have to carry that weight alone. In our time together, we’ll make space for healing, build a more compassionate relationship with yourself, and strengthen the resilience you need to move forward with confidence. I have experience providing individual therapy to children, teens, and adults, as well as offering parent coaching and family therapy. My clients have faced a wide range of mental health challenges, from mild anxiety and depression to complex mood disorders and life-threatening symptoms.

I enjoy working with youth and young adults who are experiencing issues with perfectionism, hypersensitivity, anxiety, depression, self-esteem, and/or disordered eating. I’m passionate about working with individuals who are navigating their gender identity and providing supportive and affirming care to queer, trans, and gender-expansive clients. At the core of my approach is a commitment to the principles of attachment-based and person-centered therapy. Through this methodology, we can facilitate positive growth and personal development, guiding clients on a path toward healing and self-discovery.

Anxiety, stress, fear, depression. All these words may describe the way you feel stuck right now, how do you get out? Making sense of our life experiences can be a little difficult for us, but I am here to help you find out what is getting in the way and what we can do about it. As a licensed and trained DBT (Dialectical Behavioral Therapy) and ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy) Psychotherapist, I practice what I have found to be the most evidence based, effective, and personally meaningful approaches to help you exactly where you are, right now. Whether you are struggling with anxiety, depression, relationship/social issues, life transition, behavioral problems, suicidal or harmful thoughts, or bipolar or disordered personality traits, my practice is designed to provide relief and direction for your specific difficulties. I’m also here to help create the space for you to figure out what it means to be you, who you are, and who you want to be. Together, we can figure out the pieces. I welcome you to come, exactly as you are, right now, and we can move toward the person you want to be and the life you want to live. I look forward to meeting you, whether this is your first experience with counseling or if you are looking for a different approach. Whatever brings you to my office, we can do this together. I hold a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Asbury Theological Seminary and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from the University of Georgia. I am also an engaged speaker at Georgia Institute of Technology, the University of Georgia, and multiple organizations focused on providing mental health resources to college students and young adults. Additionally, I serve as a mental health liaison for most colleges and high schools in the Atlanta area and small group leader training in mental health awareness. As an LAPC, I receive my supervision from Marissa Mundy, LPC, CPCS. My additional trainings in Mindfulness Meditation, ACT, DBT, Motivational Interviewing, and CAMS enable me to work with clients of multiple faiths, backgrounds, and experiences.

If you are struggle with test anxiety, social anxiety, generalized anxiety, recurrent or chronic pain, depression, trauma, or the mental load of everyday life, or other challenges, please reach out for help. I help people explore and restore their strengths, get in touch with their personal power, and shift their physical and emotional responses to life, people and the demands of the world.

Are you afraid of making one mistake that ruins your whole life? Do you find yourself constantly tired and anxious? Unable to have fun no matter what you’re doing? Maybe you’re looking for a therapist who's a dungeon master and watches anime? Then I’m your person. I am passionate about providing affirming care to geeky queer, trans, and gender-expansive individuals (13 years and older), and I specialize in folks experiencing OCD/anxiety, identity exploration, and life transitions, although I love to work with clients on a large variety of concerns. My goal is to create a space where you can slow down and feel truly seen for every aspect of you. Together, we’ll build up your toolbox with skills so you can set boundaries with others and calm your compulsive thoughts. We’ll explore the habits you’ve been meaning to stop and create ways to manage your time better. One way I enjoy connecting with clients is through media, video games, and other current geeky events – also known as Geek Therapy, where we use fantasy and play to work through what brings you to counseling. Depending on your passions, this can look like utilizing games, creating Dungeons & Dragons character sheets, watching your favorite tv show together or even showing up to a session in cosplay! We can bring your interests into the room to make therapy less scary and more empowering. Counseling has been absolutely crucial to my own journey, while also opening my eyes to the lack of queer-affirming support that is out there. This inspired me to become a counselor who gives back to their own community, by creating brave and affirming spaces for LGBTQIA+ folx. I know how powerless and shameful it feels having to hide away parts of yourself to fit in with others and that is not necessary here. You can be yourself with me.
