Trying to keep it all together, and make sense of life? Feeling worried, confused, trapped and stuck trying to fix "it" alone or hoping things will get better? I suspect these feelings have been with you for a while. You're not alone. Usually, people don't seek help right away; many of us attempt to tackle our problems ourselves. We often conceal our emotions and thoughts, worried about others' judgements. Life doesn't have to look this way or be so challenging. You have the power to create change, and I can help you. My counseling is rooted in connection and understanding, creating a safe, authentic space for clients to explore their past, and future aspirations. Together, we'll embrace your uniqueness and work towards a more fulfilling life by fostering autonomy; building self-confidence; connecting with your emotions; and finding lasting solutions. I have an honest, empathetic, and direct style. I incorporate reality and cognitive behavioral therapy into my practice to encourage growth and change. I have experience in relationships, life transitions, anxiety, and low self-esteem. Your courage to get to this point is admirable, don't stop here. Call me or send me a message. Let's talk.

Life presents many transitions—some anticipated, some unexpected—and each comes with its challenges. I hold dual board certification as a Family and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (FNP, PMHNP) with 27+ years of experience in a wide range of professional NP roles (clinician, manager, educator). Graduating from Georgetown University with a BSN, I practiced as an RN and 10 years later completed a master’s degree at the University of New Mexico leading to FNP certification. After decades of involvement in health promotion activities that have dovetailed with my career, the mental health challenges that I observed while working on the front lines of the pandemic inspired me to complete my second master’s degree. I regard my career as more of a calling than a job. My passion and privilege are to offer consultation from a compassionate, evidence-based, and holistic perspective. My intent is to promote patient involvement in and understanding of how their goals and plan of care can support their healing journey toward a purposeful life. After growing up in Washington, D.C., I moved to Santa Fe, NM to complete certification in massage therapy and teach yoga. I’m delighted to have decades calling Colorado home. Now, I live in Boulder and enjoy activities in nature (all seasons and ecosystems), care for animals, travel adventures, service opportunities, music as well as studying yoga and tai chi for more than 30 years. Your mental health concerns, questions, and experiences are welcome, and will be approached with care and respect.

As a Licensed Professional Counselor, I specialize in anxiety, trauma, identity exploration, emotional overwhelm, and relationship challenges. With several years of experience, I work with adults navigating some of life's most complex terrain, helping you find your footing when anxiety feels unmanageable, when past experiences weigh heavily on the present, or when relationships and sense of self feel uncertain. Empathy and authentic connection are at the heart of how I work. If you're looking for a thoughtful, attuned partner in your care, I look forward to helping you feel more connected, balanced, and at ease. My approach is gentle, grounding, and collaborative. Sessions are designed to be a safe, restorative space where you can slow down, tune into your nervous system, and begin creating meaningful, lasting change. Using relaxation techniques and nervous system-focused strategies, I help you reconnect with yourself and build a sense of balance that carries beyond our time together. Every person's needs and goals are different, and I tailor my approach accordingly. Whatever you're working through, you can expect a space that is supportive, unhurried, and shaped around you. A natural empathy for others and a deep desire to support people through life's challenges first drew me to this work. That pull became a purpose, and over time it shaped my commitment to providing warm, supportive, and empowering care. Authenticity and compassion guide every session. Whether you're working to restore a sense of well-being, process difficult experiences, or simply find more meaning in your daily life, I'm here to walk that path with you. Outside of sessions, you'll likely find me on a yoga mat, out on a trail, or setting up camp somewhere with my dog by my side. These practices of mindfulness, movement, and time in nature are part of how I stay grounded, and they deepen my appreciation for the quiet power of simply slowing down.

I understand how lonely and confusing it can be to navigate school, family expectations, pressures to perform, identity, and relationships. I am trained in evidence based skills, somatic therapy approaches for working with your nervous system, and creative processes. I also specialize in supporting LGBTQ+ and neurodivergent folx navigating the world.

“I can’t bring myself to share the weight of my experiences with my family.” “I'm constantly masking who I am to make others feel comfortable.” “People see my behavior, but they don't understand what's behind it.” “I don't feel in control of my own life.” If you recognize yourself in any of these, or struggle with anxiety, depression, and trauma. I’d be honored to support you. I provide a space where your story is welcomed and valued without judgment. My work is informed by Family Systems Theory and Feminist Theory, with an emphasis on the ways relationships, identity, and broader systems influence who we are. Whether you’re facing transitions, identity questions, or challenges in connection, we can focus together on what feels most important. I recognize the heaviness of ongoing change, missed opportunities, and the pressure to keep parts of yourself hidden. You don’t have to hold that by yourself. This is a place to be seen, supported, and understood.

I offer a nonjudgmental space to explore your inner world and build relationship with all parts of yourself. I work with teens and adults navigating anxiety, overwhelm, depression, life transitions, trauma, grief, shame, perfectionism, and people-pleasing. I also enjoy supporting adult children of emotionally immature parents, college students, and highly sensitive people. My hope is that therapy becomes a place where you feel deeply seen, understood, and accepted—and where you can gradually find your way back to yourself. My approach integrates compassionate talk therapy, mindfulness, Internal Family Systems (parts work/inner child work) EMDR, psychoeducation, and practical coping and resourcing skills. I specialize in anxiety and trauma and tailor therapy to each client's unique needs. Together, we'll work to better understand your nervous system, process painful experiences, and cultivate a more secure, compassionate relationship with yourself. Clients often describe my style as warm, gentle, and deeply validating. It is a genuine privilege to accompany people in this work. If you have questions or would like to schedule a consultation, I'd love to hear from you.

Satori Sky Counseling
Hi, I’m Michelle. I’m a mindfulness-based therapist who works with college students navigating anxiety, relationships, self-doubt, and the sometimes messy process of figuring yourself out. I offer a warm, collaborative, and trauma-informed space where you can slow down, feel understood, and make sense of what’s happening beneath the surface. Together, we’ll work toward feeling more grounded, confident, and connected to yourself. You don’t need to have everything figured out before you come to therapy. Whether you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck in patterns you want to change, struggling in a relationship, or simply wanting to understand yourself more deeply, we can start exactly where you are. My approach may incorporate mindfulness, somatic and nervous-system work, attachment-based therapy, and EMDR when appropriate.
Caroline Mazzer, PhD - Foothills CBT
I'm Dr. Caroline Mazzer, a licensed psychologist working with college-age clients using CBT (Cognitive Behavior Therapy) and DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy). I help clients who are struggling with anxiety, difficulty managing intense emotions, self-injury, suicidal thoughts, and mood disorders. College brings a lot of emotional intensity: new independence, new pressures, and often new or worsening struggles with mood and self-regulation. In our work together, you'll build concrete DBT skills for tolerating distress, regulating emotion, and staying safe, alongside a therapeutic relationship where you feel genuinely supported.

Have you ever thought to yourself— “I need someone to talk to, but struggle to open up”... “I just can’t seem to snap out of this sadness”... “I feel like I have no sense of direction”... “I feel overwhelmed”... Feeling lost, overwhelmed, or stuck can make life a constant struggle. Sometimes, our subconscious thoughts lead us to repeat the same actions even when we want to change, creating a cycle that feels difficult to break. If you're struggling with anxiety, depression, or a past trauma, you don't have to do it alone. It takes great courage to open up to someone and ask for help. If you’re ready to take that step, I’m here to support and empower you to learn, grow and process whatever is on your mind. I provide counseling to children and adults and utilize a solutions-focused, strengths-based approach. Please call or send a message if you think we might be a good fit.
